TREMOR - "Chala & Brasa"
Chala & Brasa is the third single from Tremor's new album, Takuy. Driven by a melody supported by a rhythm where African and South American reminiscences intermingle, Legüero drum, cowbells, shakers, the chico drum (candombe) and various other instruments coexist in this borderless beat.

Argentina’s Pioneers of Folktronica
" The diversity and intricacy of the tracks … are testament to the band’s musicality and creativity; it is an album bubbling with ideas, filled with explorations of structure and melody, criss-crossing the lines between digital and organic, between folk and electronica."" - Sounds and Colours
Folkloric Frequencies Rewired
Tremor is a pioneering Argentine project at the crossroads of folklore and digital experimentation. Blending ancestral rhythms with modern production, their music bridges the traditional and the contemporary — a soundscape where charangos, ronrocos, bombo legüeros, and violins intertwine with electronic textures and hypnotic beats.
Their sonic identity evokes electro-tribal malambos, sachas laced with Gypsy melodies, and even IDM-infused huaynos — a vibrant mix where ritual and circuitry meet.
The trio is led by Leonardo Martinelli (production, guitar, charango), with Alex Musatov (live-processed acoustic violin) and Camilo Carabajal (bombo legüero and percussion). Together, they reimagine Argentina’s roots music for a global audience, while staying deeply connected to its origins.
Over the years, Tremor has collaborated and shared stages with musicians from Wichi, Mapuche, and Guarani communities, as well as copleras from Tilcara. They’ve performed alongside the late legend Elpidio Herrera (playing one of his rare sacha guitarras), contributed to projects honoring Leda Valladares and Mercedes Sosa, and continually expanded the dialogue between heritage and innovation.
Internationally, Tremor has toured extensively — five European tours (Germany, France, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Spain, Belgium) and two across North America, from coast to coast in the U.S. with stops in Toronto and Montreal. In Latin America, they’ve performed in Brazil (Rio, São Paulo, Belo Horizonte) and Colombia (Bogotá).
Highlights include appearances at Roskilde Festival (Denmark), Fusion Festival (Germany), Music Meeting (Netherlands), SXSW (USA), Les Trans Musicales de Rennes (France), and c/o pop (Germany), sharing line-ups with artists such as Iron Maiden, The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, Battles, PJ Harvey, and Hot Chip.
Beyond their own boundary-pushing sound, Tremor is also the ensemble behind Bolivian icon Luzmila Carpio, with Leonardo Martinelli at the production helm of both her most recent album and live concert.

A una legua tells the story of musician and composer Camilo Carabajal on a journey through a powerful fusion of folklore and digital technology. Together with his partner, Environmental Management graduate Ingrid Shönenberg, Camilo embarks on the creation of the “ecobombo” — a project that merges science and music in a confluence of scientific research, environmental management, and musical pleasure, connecting Argentina’s folkloric roots with the avant-garde of 21st-century scientific and aesthetic work.
